About the Author
Debra Hamilton is the co‑founder of Wing Creek Resort. In 2004, she and her husband Kevin relocated to Kaslo to create Wing Creek Resort, transforming 20 acres of lakeshore into a boutique retreat that has hosted thousands of guests from around the world.
Debra has also been an active leader in regional economic development, including:
- Served multiple terms on the Kaslo & Area Chamber of Commerce, including three years as president
- Co‑founded a local Internet Service Provider to bring high‑speed connectivity to the region
- Helped establish Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism and served multiple terms on the board of directors
- Managed the Kaslo campus of Selkirk College, delivering continuing education and hospitality training programs
