Instead, we are nestled on 20 acres of pristine Kootenay Lake waterfront about midway between Vancouver and Calgary, and 4.5 hours from Kelowna or Spokane. If you are exploring Western Canada and looking to avoid the tourist traps, you will find a more authentic experience here. Romantic Cottages and Breathtaking Views
We advertise romantic getaways at Wing Creek Resort. Over the past 20 years we have hosted small weddings, elopements, engagements, and countless anniversaries. Romance really is in the air. Maybe it’s just getting away from the hustle of the city, even for a romantic weekend, and enjoying some downtime together. Could be the fact that we only host adults and almost exclusively couples. Our five thoughtfully appointed luxury cottages provide the perfect haven for a couples getaway.
Our four Cedarbrook Cottages all feature hand-laid stone wood burning fireplaces, while our Cedarcrest Cottage – aka the Honeymoon Cottage – features a wood stove and many extras. Whichever you choose, you’ll experience comfort, privacy, and tranquility at our beautiful cabin resort. Guests comment on all our “special touches”, and we delight in providing them.
Over the past 20 years trees grew and grew. A lot. Clearing views was a huge job every Spring and we were never quite satisfied. This year, we bit the bullet and downed a number of view-obscuring trees, and the breathtaking views of mountains and lake are by FAR the best they have ever been. “Stunning” and “spectacular” don’t do them justice. If you need just a little more of a nudge, the Falling Water Spa offers a range of spa services on site, including massages, Reiki, and reflexology. The spa is located directly beside Wing Creek so you will most likely be lulled into a meditative state simply by listening to the cascading waters of the creek only 10 feet away.

We have wonderful Trip Advisor reviews and we used to have 150 five-star Google reviews too. But Google decided to rely on AI and remove our Business Listing two years ago, which has been a huge blow to our business since we can’t convince them to reinstate it.
